Toliver Family Round one

Kaitlyn Toliver looked around her house and nodded approvingly. Her house was not like the other houses in Laurel Valley, but she had paid extra to have the house done the way she wanted. Kaitlyn felt that someone aspiring to be mayor had a certain image to uphold. It had cost her most of her 20,000 Simoleons, but she felt it was worth it.

Kaitlyn pulled a cookbook out of the bookcase to do some studying. She knew that if she had parties at her house, she would need to know how to make more than the basic meals. After she had gotten about three hours of studying under her belt, she heard the doorbell ring. When she peeked out the window she saw there were three of Laurel Valley's citizens standing in the front yard: Malcolm Landgraab IV, Gilbert Jacquet, and Samantha Ghoulson.

Kaitlyn answered the door and shmoozed with them for a bit. After getting to know them, She got all of their phone numbers and said goodbye.

She saw the newspaper was on the front lawn. She was glad that the real estate company had provided a free subscription to the newspaper. She picked it up and brought it inside to look for a job.

She found one in the political track right away. She was only a campaign worker, but at least it was a foot in the door. It would probably be a few years before she could actually hold any kind of office.

Kaitlyn spent the next couple of hours practicing her speech making, then she made a call back to a couple of the people that she had met earlier to let them know she was thinking of them. All in all it was a pretty good first day. She got to bed early so she would be well rested for her first day on the job.

Kaitlyn got up and got cleaned up and ready for work, then fixed herself a bite to eat. When the carpool arrived, she was ready to go to work. The first day she was manning the phones, calling lots of the local people, known as "townies" to the insiders, letting them know about her candidate. The hours had been long and her needs were depleted, but she did such a great job, her bosses promoted her to be an intern.

As soon as she stepped out of the car, she found Samantha Ghoulson waiting for her at the front door. Kaitlyn invited her inside and then freshened up before having a chat with her. They talked for a couple of hours, and before Samantha left, Kaitlyn felt that she had made a real friend in the neighborhood. Kaitlyn got on the phone and called Malcolm and Jacquet, as well as Paul Xavier, a man she had met at the real estate office who had also bought a house in Laurel valley.

Kaitlyn got to bed early, even though she knew she had the day off. She wanted to spend the day getting her skills built up and talking to the people in the neighborhood.

Kaitlyn sat down at the chess table and played a few games, building up her logic skills. It did not take her long before she had a couple points in.

Kaitlyn decided to go out on a date with Malcolm. She knew he was wealthy, and figured he had connections that might help her. Kaitlyn decided to take Malcolm downtown to Red's diner. She had heard that it was a nice small restaurant. She had just wanted to to meet with him and talk to him about his contacts, but something seemed to happen on their date. It started out with a little dancing:

We had some dinner:

Right after that, thing started progressing. We hugged a few times and even kissed. I hadn't really planned on it becoming a physical relationship. The last kiss was definitely a lulu. Malcolm had a great time. We even went in the photo booth and took our picture together.

Like I said, Malcolm had a great time! In fact, I think he wants us to go out again sometime. I am not sure though if Malcolm is the one I want to share my life with right now or not. He did promise to tell all of his friends about me. That will probably help get me more friends.

A short time after I got home, Malcolm came by and dropped off a bouquet of roses in a vase. he really seems to like me a lot. Right now, my primary goal is to become the mayor. Maybe after I reach my goal I will get serious with Malcolm or someone else.

Ahh, Malcolm. I like Malcolm. The only thing I don't like about Malcolm is that brow, but Other than that, I like him. Kaitlyn is sure determined for a popularity sim. Almost all of my popularity sims are rather flighty. Good luck.

Malcom is one of my favorite Sims to play. I don't like his house much though, I always change it around. :) Good luck! Ya know, Pop sims are easy to 'string along' at work............

Ah, Malcolm Landgraab! He's always the secret mob boss in my game. I don't know why, but he just is. ;-)

Congrats on hooking her up with him!
